We are so thankful for companies who actively participate in the community. Farmer’s Electric Charitable Foundation is one of those companies. Through their Round Up for Charity program, they have the funds to assist service organizations such as Wesley UMC’s Backpack Buddy ministry. For over 7 years, we have provided food for school children to take home for over the weekend. Costs have continued to increase but for about $200 church members can ‘adopt’ a Backpack Buddy for the school year. Random donations come from those who hear about this program but it is quickly becoming more difficult to fund this ministry.
